Infertility support
Hi, I'm 36 and moved to Hong Kong 2 years ago. During our time here we have completed 2 IUI's and 3 IVF cycles (1 fresh and 2 frozen) all have ended up negative :(
I just found out yesterday my last try was negative, and each time I always wish there were people to speak to about it.....does anyone know of any groups I can get in touch with or if anyone wants to equally have some one to chat to who is in a similar boat please get in touch
Thanks

Hi Monste
I've been through the IVF route so I know what you're going through - and it's a hard slog. I'm sure you've been given lots of advise etc. Are you with the same doc for all the treatment? Perhaps you should consider going to a different one. It might help to have a different lab...
I'm not currently in the same boat as you as I'm now 22 weeks through IVF but would be happy to recommend my doc or meet for a chat.

Hi MiniB
Congratulations....wonderful news for u....how long had u been trying.
I am at same clinic for all treatment, my iui was done by one doc who passed me to his collegue for IVF as it was his expert field. I suppose reason I don't want to move is because I have to go through all the checks etc again, while sticking means I can get on with next try - am I being silly thinking like this?
Who is your doctor if u don't mind me asking.....
Meeting for chat would be good if you don't mind....nice to speak to someone who have lived my experience and ended with great results

Hi Monste
We had been trying for about 2.5 years and went through 2 cycles of IVF.
My IVF doctor is Dr Tracy Yeung at Hong Kong Reproductive Health Centre. She used to work at Queen Mary's infertility centre and I think she still consults there too.
I'll send you a PM with my contact details so we can arrange getting together for a chat.

Hi Monste,
I am going through my first IVF cycle after two failed IUIs. I'm due to get a 5-day blastocyst transferred, and am terrified of the 2 week wait!!
It would be helpful to share experiences on our IVF journey :)
Have you tried fertility acupuncture alongside IVF? I hear it helps. Also, when are you planning on trying another cycle?

Hi All,
My husband and I had a few failed IUI's and then moved from the sanatorium in Happy Valley to the Women's clinic in Central for IVF. I really did not want to do IVF but found out that it was actually our only option for falling pregnant. I found moving to be better as the environment was less stressful and our Dr - Dr Alice Wong had lots of time for us. We were very lucky as we are now pregnant 20 weeks with twins!
Emotionally, I did not talk much about it to friends in the first two years, but in the last year I found it much more freeing to at least have them know a little more about what we were going through. I also had a best friend back home who went through IVF before me, and she was a great sounding board. So suggest finding someone who has been through a few IVF's to chat with.
I also recommend Accupuncture - Dr Troy Sing in Central is really good.
If you ever want to meet up - always happy to.

Congratulations chewy.....amazing news...
Question for u.....did u eat anything or do anything specific during the 2ww? I'm about to do the egg collection so any advise be good
All my friends at home were very lucky and fell pregnant (with what seems like no trouble) we have been trying for almost 4.5years but IVF only started this year....I wished I had started earlier so my eggs were younger...but nothing I can do about that now...
