Mainland wife giving birth in Hong Kong
I'm an expat living in Shenzhen. My wife has a mainland Hukou but we want to give birth in Hong Kong. I've searched the forums however those in the same situation as us were way back in 2010 and before when I think there was a ban but then it was lifted?
Is anyone aware of the situation at the moment?I heard from some people that its no longer possible to book private for mainland moms? Others have told me it is possible as long as we find a doctor early since its first come first serve and they have a quota? Others have said its officialy banned but that many doctors are willing to get the relevant documentation/permission.
Would appreciate any info on this! Even better if someone has firsthand experience on how to get around this.Feel free to reply here or send me an IM.
Thanks!
John
