Anyone TTC in early 40s?
Is there anyone on here, who just found the right partner later in life and started to TTC? I feel all alone. Most women I know are either married with kids by 40 or still looking for the right partner. Any success stories if the couple is generally healthy or the guy is younger..

Hullo, I am 39 and my husband and I started TTC about 2 months ago. Decided to do some research and reading because I am getting to the more difficult age of trying. My husband has had his sperm analysed and I have done an initial blood test. My AMH are really low and the problem is from my end. Started on multi vits and trying to have a healthier lifestyle and have also done some accupuncture sessions which are nice and relaxing. Beside the morbid news a fertility doctor gave me a couple of weeks ago Im finding this journey rather fascinating and am understanding my body a lot better. Theres so much I didnt know about my cycle etc.

Hi, thanks for responding. Where did you get acupuncture sessions? If you have normal regular period, normal weight, no other medical issues, it should work out in the end. I guess it just takes a bit longer than much younger people.. do you take prenatal vatamins, exercise regularly, eat healthy?

I travel a lot so have done the accupuncture sessions outport. Have booked in one with Dr Helen He tomorrow so will let you know how that goes. Yes am taking a prenatal vit, coq10 ubiqnol, maca pill and probiotic. I try to exercise regularly (1-3x weekly) and have been eating mostly a healthy diet (have had to make some changes). 2 accupuncturist have advised it is my job which is causing some issues. Being shift work I dont rest enough and am up during hours when Im supposed to be resting so hormones are out of balance etc. I cant give up my job and have no option to take a break from it so will just have to rest more when I can. I have started charting my temperatures which is giving me an insight to whats happening etc.
My husband and I are not interested in going down the artificial route. If it happens then great, if it doesnt then it wasnt suppose to be.
How about yourself?

Hi ST, I'm in the similar situation as you, we have decided to start TTC from last month. I'm 37 and hubby is 32. We are both generally healthy, don't smoke or drink. Try to exercise and stay active. I've been tracking my cycles for years so have some idea when is my fertile week. If you want to chat about this for emotional support, PM me. Perhaps we could even meet for coffee.
