Help choosing IVF doctor (HK Island)

    Hi,

My husband and I are about to embark on an IVF journey and would like to know if anyone has any strong thoughts about IVF doctors on the island?

We have met with Dr Ingrid Lok at the Sanitorium who we both liked and are potentially contemplating seeing Dr Doo at the Women's Clinic to compare.

Any thoughts/advice would be much appreciated.

Dr Doo is very popular and has a high success rate. He is very busy and wait times can be long.

Another Dr to add to your list is Tracy Yeung at HK Reproductive Health

Thanks Rani. We're now booked in to see Dr Tracy Yueng as well as Dr Doo so will hopefully be able to make a decision out of the 3 soon!

    Hi there,

How did your journey go with the doctors and clinics? I had 1 failed IVF with QM as follicle did not grow enough to produce egg collection and due to my age 43, they advised me not to continue. My research tells me to try again with treatment either IUI or IVF again as age+1st try chances are low and will increase with stimulation.

Would be great to hear about your experience, thanks in advance.

    Hi,

We went with Alex Doo at The Women's Clinic and both he and his clinic have been superb - we're currently 8 months pregnant but I naturally can't comment on success rates for individual cases. We had one egg collection and from that had 1 chemical pregnancy and now this pregnancy (both from FET) with more 5 day embryos in storage.

Regarding IUI, I personally haven't heard the best stories so it might be worth opting to go straight for IVF but again, I'm no specialist and I guess it's a very personal choice.

Overall I couldn't recommend Dr Doo enough. Great bedside manner, very professional and so far has done a brilliant job for us.

Let me know if you need any further info and more importantly, the best of luck!!!!
