Chinese American will give birth,is it possible to get HK passport for baby?
Hi all,
My wife and I are naturalied American citizen who were born in China. We will give birth in Sep. in Hong Kong. Is it possible to get HK passport for baby? Read some articles that as long as the baby has Chinese lineage, she still can get HK passport regardless. It does not matter to parents nationality. But my question is how to prove babys Chinese lineage? We have Chinese passport but had been cancelled by Chinese embassy in USA. Do we still can show the passport book to prove my Chinese lineage? If not, can grandfather /grandmother help to prove Chinese lineage? Appreciate anyone's help.

I think grandparents are fine. Singaporean friend (now American) did this a few years ago and showed the grandmother lineage.
