First Foods
D has been on solids for a little over a month now and he's had
rice cereal
pears
carrots
papaya
sweet potoato
sweet corn
pumpkin
oats
banana
winter melon
We're now going to be a bit adventurous and try some combos. Maybe we can share some recipes?
I was going to start with combining a couple of foods he's already tried.
carrots + sweet potato
corn + sweet potato:Last edited by rani; 01-22-2003 at 10:23 PM.

Hi
My little one just refused to eat any baby cereal(rice, oats, multigrain, wheat) right since he was 6 months old. so I had to give him rice (the variety we eat) and dal cooked together with 2 or 3 already introduced veggies. thankfully he liked the mashed khichdi. u could try that too.
Rice cereal and some pureed fruit(instead of milk) is also a good breakfast recipe.
soft roti dipped in a veggie soup can be tried a little later to encourage chewing.
good luck and have fun

Hi Ranjani
Thanks for your reply. D has been having rice cereal and fruit for dinner.
I'm going to try the congee rice and veggies next week. Did you use white or brown rice? I was thinking of trying brown.
D doesn't have any teeth yet, so I guess I should wait till they make an appearance before introducing roti right?Founded GeoBaby in 2002

I used white rice. Brown is healthier.
Yeah u could wait for the teeth to surface before giving roti.
Cheers
