Chief Executive, Mr Tung Chee Hwa announced that schools will resume in phases.

Form 3 and above students will resume classes next Tuesday, on April 22, Forms 1 and 2 and primary school pupils will tentatively resume classes on April 28. However, a final decision will be made on this next week after assessing the situation at that time.

As for kindergartens, the principals will decide on their own when they should re-open.

A series of measures will be adopted to ensure that schools and school buses are kept clean and hygienic.

Measures will also be taken to increase awareness of personal and environmental hygiene among parents, teachers, pupils and school staff.

Daily checkups when schools open

Parents will have to take their children's temperature every day before sending them to school.

They will also have to sign a form every day certifying that their children do not have fevers.

ESF schools and HKIS plan to resume on 23/4 unless instructed otherwise by the Education Dept.

The Education Dept announced that Form 1 and 2 will commence on April 28th.

Primary schools and kindergartens will remain closed.
