$400 domestic helper levy
Hi,
I travel a whole lot and intend to do so with my baby. I'm getting the nanny directly from the Philippines and she will be going back there each time we are not in Hong Kong. We intend to go in and out Hong Kong like every two months and each time for about 2 months too. Does anybody know if I have to pay for the 2 months levy that the nanny is not in HKG?
Thanks.

Val,
You have to pay the levy in advance to the Gov't or in 2 installments when you pick up her employment visa. So I would think as long as she's holding a valid HK employment visa you have to pay the levy?

Yes, you need to pay the levy. The instalment is paid in advance once you confirm the employment of helper.
