    Toddler Haircut

Sorry, I know this question has been posted before but couldn't find it. Does anyone know a salon that is catered for toddlers. Especially one that might have a television playing children's program. If so, where is it and how much does it cost?

I take our son to my salon and he's at the stage now where he can't sit still for a second. It's a total struggle and his haircuts are looking worse and worse and cost $100 each time. I know if he had a TV with cartoons running, he would sit still.

P.S. - neither me or hubby are completely skill-less at haircutting.

    Hi Bzee,
We take our son to ToysRUs in Ocean Terminal in Kowloon. The hairdresser Tony is brilliant, very calm and the haircut is great too. It is a little on the expensive side, but the children sit on a horse from a merry-go-round and watch a video, while Tony expertly and very gently cuts their hair. We think it's really worth it as there is no struggle and my 2 year old now says 'Going to see Tony', when we mention that he is going to have his hair cut.

We make a day of it, coming from DB and usually end up buying something in ToysRUs, though not always.

    Hope that helps

    Jools

    Hi Jools!

You might like to try "Joel" in the Plaza. I think most kids in D.B. go to him. He has one room in his salon dedicated to kids, with lots of toys to play with while waiting. There also are a couple kid-sized TV monitors with loads of kiddie's VCDs. He's very fast and patient, and most of us are his regular customers. And it's just HK$80.

    Sara.

    Wow,
Thanks Sara, that would save the trip to Kowloon. Sorry to be a bit dim but is 'Joel' in the hairdressers opposite the bank or somewhere else. I don't always notice the names of shops, as is apparent not realising that the ToysRus and Magic Mirror were one in the same.

    Thanks

    Jools

    Hi Jools:

Joel is at "Joel's Room", Block D, room 324 in the Plaza. It's the same block as Artworks. You may call him on 2987 2244.

    Sara.
