Potty training
I have trained my boy when he was 24 months old. I was using the method from the book "Toilet Training In Less Than A Day" by Nathan H. Azrin, PH.D. & Richard M. Foxx, Ph.D.
I hope it helps.

Babysheep,
Have a read through this thread on Potty training which includes Gina Ford's signs of when a child is ready for PT.

I tried training my boy at 26 mths and failed. We tried again 6 mths later and in 2 weeks he was 60% trained. We're now on week 6 and he's only wearing diapers for naps and sometimes when we're out.Founded GeoBaby in 2002

started potty training to my 2.5yrs old son for 2 weeks.
however, he would only call up "pee pee" after he's done.
most parents said it takes a week for their same age kids, but not mine...
not sure whether he is not ready or any problem of mine?!
he needs fully trained by august when k1 starts.
HELP!!

I toilet-trained my 2 girls at different age. The first one is 2 1/2 yrs (she's a March baby) and the second one 2 yrs 3 mths (she's a June baby). Both because they had to start school in September. The first one "graduated" with flying colors in 5 days!!!!! The second one took me 2 weeks!
In my opinion, age plays a role here.
The older they are, the more they are aware of their body function (wee & poo), the easier it is. I think 2 1/2 years old is the right age!
A little tip from me, hope you find it useful:
Take them to the toilet or ask them if they want to go to the toilet, first thing in the morning and every 2-3 hours. Basically it'll be morning, before/after lunch, diaper (for nap time), after nap, and before/after dinner. It won't happen right the instant they sit on the toilet, you may have to wait a few minutes.
And look for the clue. When you see they start squeezing their legs or putting the hand between the legs, you know what it means. I didn't even ask, I just took them straight to the toilet.
Don't rush them, wait patiently, give them your brightest smile, clap your hands and say "yeahhh..... you did it" when they actually do it! I find it the best reward they need from us.

I let my child started when he was 2(he is now 2 1/2), he will wear underpants at home and training pants whenever he goes out or taking naps. The underpants works on him since if he wets his pants he will feel uncomfortable and will not do it again. But still there will be accidents if he is playing too happily and forget to tell.
Just be patient as pt can't rush...
And acknowledge him whenever he wee wee or poo poo in th toilet!
