How do you go about asking a pediatrician (whom you haven't seen) to your birth?
We're thinking of using a pediatrician (whom we have never met) recommended by a friend. If we were *not* to schedule a prenatal visit, do we just call her clinic now to let her know that we'll be using her right after delivery?
(I'll be delivering at the Adventist.)
Thanks!Last edited by mamamau; 09-28-2005 at 10:05 AM.

I suppose you'll give birth in a private hospital then?
The first time around, we didn't know about having to get a paeditrician right after the baby was born, so my Ob/Gyn recommended us one right on spot 'cause she lived near the hospital. And we still see her now, with our third child.
Being 'smarter', when we registered in the hospital, we just jot down her name. They will be the one to contact him/her when the time comes.
Hope this helps!
