Hi to all!
****ying, too bad we have not had the chance to meet! maybe after you have settled down in your new home, we can come out! it was a great night last night and i look forward to our next gatherings (both mommy&bb and justmommies).Happy New Year everyone!
p/s to Laetitia: I went on the plane when i was 7mths pregnant, all u need is a doc's letter stating you are ok to fly. abt msian citizenship, does it matter where u give birth? i thought msians will be msians regardless. my hubby is hkie so my kids are hkies.

hai, Laetitia,
for hkie husband case, we need to deliver at msian to get the citizenship & when u come back to HK go to HK immigration to apply to HK PR
if father is msian, the bb will get the msian citizenship tak kira mana the bb was born
my husband is hkie but my kids are msian : )

laetitia,
i too travelled when 6 months pregnant but i have great difficulty to get a letter from my gynae initially as he said i am not fit to travel on the grounds that i spotted ONCE at 4 months plus i had placenta previa (where plancenta lies low). if you have a pregnancy that doesn't fit the "norm" ie have problems may them be minor, I suggest you talk to your gynae early to let him/her know you will ask for a letter to travel and that he promises to give you one. you don't want a situation where you can't travel back to malaysia to give birth!
P/S Elaine, please check your PM. Thx

It's ok. I will email the link to you when my hotmail account is back to normal. Those who are interested, please email me or pm me. However, in order to read this website, your PC need to be able to read Chinese.
Let's hope that this message will not get deleted again. If not, I may have to find new "place" to find parenting info and to meet mothers in HK. It's a shame though as I really like this forum.

Wee Kean,
One link is enough. By the way, do keep in mind that we're not in the business of sending traffic to other commercial sites.
Imagine if you ran a business and I stood outside it and promoted your competitors business.
Needless to say that they delete links to us too.

Hi Shri,
I understand where are you coming from. As far as I am aware, one of the mum promoted this link at their website and it was still there the last time I read it (which is last night)
Happy New Year!

Online forums especially these aimed for parents to seek support and advice from one another should, in my opinion, allow users to freely discuss any issue even if it is to direct them to other websites for more or alternative advice/support/etc. I do not believe that referring someone to another website would "send traffic" to competitors and as such reduce the number of people using Geobaby. Speaking for myself, I would even be more inclined to log into Geobaby if I know I would get not only the most relevant but most comprehensive sources of information. Indeed, but for Wee Kean's thread, I would honestly not access my Geobaby account as often as now (which is at least 3 times running to even 10 times a day!). I have even branched out to use GeoExpat Forums/Classified, as well as the Online HK Shopping.
A user of AsiaXpat, I have referred countless mums to Geobaby forums (as well as other mummy-baby forums) and the last I looked all these postings were still there.
It is my sincere wish that the administrators in this forum would understand that we - the mothers who gave up our careers to become bored, stay-home mums (LOL) - are here to gather ALL available advice to provide the best care for our babies and at the same time, set up a support group as we are far away from our home country. In this internet age, it would be fair and realistic to say that this would mean visiting all available web forums not just Geobaby.
Happy New Year to everyone too!?Last edited by mummybee; 01-01-2007 at 02:10 PM.
