Air purifier study/warning
There has been a lot of discussion around pollution and purifiers, here's a recent study highlighting the hazards. This sounds a lot like what the US Consumers Report put out a while back.

I agree. Be easier if the factories would move up to first-world pollution control.
Currently living in Atlanta which sits at #9 in the coveted Top 10 US cities in terms of air pollution. Just doesn't seem that bad here. Skies are blue, never have a problem breathing, etc....
In some Chinese indutrial cities you can chew the air. No reason for that anymore.

Yep... not only that, but electricity is still based on coal here... that is something that could be so easily avoided...
This site shows that pollution levels in 2003 were almost three times than in New York!!! (and it is not better now!)

Depressingly interesting. Another vote in favor of living in the NT.

I'm very confused about air purifiers. Is it safe or not safe? Has anyone tried the air purifier being sold at Bumps to Babes?

Consumer Reports said to stay away from the type that "ionize". They apparently produce ozone as a by-product.
