    Hi Somebodyfamous,

I don't think it's twins cuz never had any history of twins in either my or my hubby's side. But, it will be a suprise if it is!!

CheriC were you very slim pre-pregnancy? I heard that if so, you tend to put on more weight earlier on in the pregnancy, so maybe that's it.

If you are concerned about the belly/weight, make sure you continue to eat a healthy diet and exercise (consult your doctor). Some take that "eating for 2" way too far for too many months.

    Hi

Same here! I am almost 10 weeks pregnant and was showing very early (4/5 weks).

Since the move to Hong Kong in Jan the stress and exceitement at being somewhere else meant I went down to about 5kg under weight. So pre pregnant weight was 57kg (I am 5'11"). I have now put the 5 kg on plus another couple!!! I am basically taking it easy - chilled out, eating healthily : a little bit more then I was but not too much, and I feel great. (No sickness, moodiness or anything - is that a good thing? ... worry worry ...)

I thought I was having twins so went for an early scan ... it is just the one!!!

I think your body does what it needs to do, I certainly am not over eating - in fact if you look at my calorie intake for a day it is within the recommended daily amount for my height etc ... but I still put on lots of weight. If that is what my body needs to do to produce a healthy baby then I say "bring it on" lol (Although I hope I dont get toooo fat)!

BTW I had a friend who did nothing but eat chips and burgers through her pregnancy, it may or may not be related but she now has a daughter with terrible bowl problems ... she has also not been able to lose the pre pregnancy weight and it has gone 2 yrs. So yes, totally agree with Sleuth ... dont take the eating for two thing too seriously hehe.

I know someone who ate McDonalds throughout her pregnancy and her baby had numerous stomach and eating problems. Eat healthy and often.
