    hubby and i are...
    we're lucky... my in-laws have never bought toys. they have bought juice, formula, clothes & shoes.

    Grandparents and relatives and friends in large baby-showers. I don't think we have bought a toy yet. Have bought several books, though.
    And he really loves to play with or look at our large copper mixing bowl, mirrors, any pan he can bang on and measuring spoons. Right up there with his caterpillar from Baby Einstein (from a baby shower).
    He did have a great time on the Yamaha Keyboard, the other day. Might have to spring for a toy piano.
