    Baby screaming!

My son is 10 months old and has recently taken up the habit of screaming...at the top of his lungs. I'm wondering if this is normal, he may not be wanting anything, could seem calm and collected then suddenly he'd scream, scream and scream. At times he could just be screaming for hours, not cranky screams, just naughty like screams...just for the fun of it, like he enjoys hearing his own vocal cord at work. He may be using this as a way to express something or seek attention. Has anyone experienced this and how can I teach him to sshh up as he's still babbling baby talk, can't seem to get him to quieten down.

I think he's just finding his voice. My son is 12 months and he's been exactly the same recently, my eldest finds it quite funny.

I must admit it's quite funny sometimes...though embarassing when everyone looks at you to see why you can't seem to control your baby, especially in shopping centres...boy oh boy! :tmi
