defrosting baby food
My 9 month old is showing a preference for chilled purees - maybe it soothes her gums or something!
I have a fridge full of frozen purees, but am I right in thinking that the frozen food must be heated until piping hot? (So I can't just let it defrost slowly in the fridge and serve chilled?)
If I do heat it until piping hot, when it has cooled down can I put in the fridge for a few hours and then serve to my baby?

I'm no expert, but I often fed my baby food that had thawed at room temp/in the fridge w/o heating it and she's still alive.
