Playgroup reco. for newborn
First time mum, any recommendation for good playgroups? Do you recommend going to "pay" playgroups, as they are supposed to help you and your baby group and bond together more effectively? Also i heard there's a long wait list to join the playgroups, isn't that a little crazy!

it is a bit crazy, but i guess that's just how it goes here!
for my first born, we really enjoyed pekip and kindermusik, which we started at around 4 months. for my second, we went with gymboree. we also enjoyed panda junction and my gym.
i suggest you go to take a look at these places and do a trial class before you sign up for anything. "kindermusik by catherine" does free trial classes. we tried several playgroups before we settled on the ones that we liked.
as for waitlists, you may want to put your name down now, just in case you'd like to join later. "my gym" has a waitlist (at least back then it did, not sure about now), so if you put your name down, you might be able to get a spot in a few months time when baby is old enough to join (i think they start at 6 months if i remember correctly).
have fun!
