Ugh... settling in and a little lonely
Hi All,
just posting to vent a bit. I moved here sept 1, and am 10 weeks pregnant. luckily, I haven't really had much morning sickness, but i have been so utterly exhausted I can't even get my house together much less do anything social. I am feeling really lonely and hubs has been working long hours so that he hopefully will tno have to once the critter arrives.
What did you all do to pass this time? I want to be involved but the events on geoexpat are usually drinking involved and to stand up at a bar for hours would wear me out, and the events on here are more focused on those who already have their little ones. any suggestions?
Thanks,
Rebekah

Call the YWCA on 3476 1340 and join their 'At Home' course. A great way to get aquainted with Hong Kong and an even better way to meet some other women who have recently set foot in this place. Highly recommend it.

oh great idea... one question? how much car/bus/mtr travel is done each day in this course? the reason i ask is the only time i really feel nauseated is when i ride in a vehicle. thanks for the input!

Rebekah,
There is so much happening during the day. The Expat Wives group on GeoExpat meet a couple times a week for lunch/coffee.
They're off to lunch today in TST. Just drop Iduj a msg to let her know you're coming

Also you can meet the moms in your Due Date Club for lunch.

The AWA is a great organization. They have a Foon Ying Grp and introduce you to other women who have just moved to HK. Plus they have neighborhood coffees. Where did you decide on living?
Come and have lunch/tea with me in Cyberport one day.
