I bought a tray with compartments in the $10 shop and sorted them all out into hairbands and clips. A friend of mine uses an old mug tree and stores hairbands in colours. Another bought the sticky backed hooks and stuck them on the wall in the bathroom and hung hairbands from there!

    Clear acrylic container from Muji

Muji has a great selections of clear acrylic container with compartments, the sizes of the compartments can be adjusted easily. also because it's clear and see thru, you will be able to find things easily. they can be stacked up if you need more then 1 container. not too expensive and they look rather chic!

I bought trays for $10 each at Japan Home Town store. then i cut out card boards from toy packages the size of a book mark, clip the hair clips in pairs on, and leave them in 1 tray for clips, then 1 tray for elastics, 1 tray for butterfly clips. just stack them up & put in the top drawer in her chest.
