Question Looking for a moses basket / bassinette

    Hi,

Wondering where to get a cheap moses basket / bassinette for my new arrival due June. My family are coming over at the end of June till mid July and i need a temporary bed for my newborn as one of my elder children will need to sleep in the cot.

Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks
    mea

great question, was wondering myself! we've got a baby crib set up in the nursery but figure in the first few months we'll have him in a basket/bassinette in our bedroom (mainly for my convenience as i'll be breastfeeding and the nursery is not really that close to our bedroom).

thanks tips would be greatly appreciated by me as well :-)

Maybe not the answer for the OP wanting a very cheap temporary option, but I was pleased to have found an alternative to the tiny and flimsy moses baskets sold in baby shops here!

After months of running into brick walls with baby suppliers and searching here, I finally thought laterally and had a lovely wicker (=rattan!!) basinette made to order at Jade Rattan on Queens Rd East, Wanchai!! Cost $700, which I thought was super for the quality and functionality i.e. it's a good size, our daughter is three months old and still very happy in it. Pic below. It's a rigid antique wicker style, but I also had them make an unbleached cotton liner and "hood" so you can't actually see the rattan in the pic! They were very familiar with the style of thing I wanted and it took about 5 minutes to get across my specifications, 3 weeks to make, excellent job!

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,
I have a moses basket and a rocking bassinet on wheels (with storage below). I am happy to give them away for free to anyone who would like to collect. PM if you would like.

    Bassinet for newborn

Hi jessica24, I am expecting a baby in July and interested in bassinet. Do you still have the bassinet available? Please kindly let me know if any bedding would be included and a photo of it would be nice. Please also advice the pick up location! Thank a million!
