    Activities/Courses for preschoolers?

    Hi all,

I'm fairly new to HK and have a 2.8 year old and trying to figure out courses/activities for her to do, especially b/c I may not enroll her in school next year. It seems that most things stop at 2.5 b/c most kids go to school full time in the morning so I'm struggling with finding good stuff for 2.8 and above age range. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. also are there any schools that do 2-3 days/week for 3 year olds or is it all 5 days?

my 3-year-old daughter goes to school in the afternoon, so i take her to different activities in the morning. we do ballet at Kids' Gallery (2~4 y.o.), and i think they have other activities for that age group too. we also do kindermusic (3~4 y.o.). and an art class near our place. you can also try PlaySport who does a 2~5 y.o. mini sports class every morning.

My 2.7 year old has been going to Woodlands Montessori School in Repulse Bay for about a year now. He is currently in a Stepping Stones class that meets twice a week for 1 3/4 hours. They also have a class that meets M,W,F for that age range as well. Woodlands has other locations around HK that you can look into: http://www.woodlandschools.com/Landing.php

The YWCA also has a variety of courses for kids that age -- music, sports, language, cooking, etc. You can check out their courses here:

We love Kindermusik and may even continue it in the fall when my daughter starts preschool. Also check the English Schools Foundation website for sports activities. We do swim classes with them and they are great. http://www.esf.org.hk/esf_sports/index.htm
