Where to go in Central for kids?
I'm meeting a friend in Central this coming Thursday. We have a session at Gymboree booked for our kids to attend in the morning. But wondered what else is there to do in Central to keep our kids occupied? Our kids are aged 2.5 and 3.5yrs. old.
We are also thinking of going to Times Square afterwards if there is not enough to do for our kids. I haven't been to Causeway Bay in a long time, so I would appreciate it if anyone can advice me on what there is on offer! Also what kid-friendly restaurants are available?

if you're going to causeway bay (depending on the weather) you could take you kids to the central library or Victoria Park for a while.

you could take yr kids to admiralty, 5 mins from central to the Hong Kong park .... i would think times square is not such a good idea with it being so over crowded all the time...in case u do go there then Page One book shop on the 14th floor is a good place to spend some quiet time with kids reading books sitting on their floor mats.

My LO likes to go to IFC Mall as there is a good view of the construction site (from the window by the HSBC ATM) and he can watch the dump trucks and bulldozers for ages!

You could also do a quick trip across and back on the Star Ferry - my little boy absolutely loves this as a special treat. And, dim sum at City Hall works well too as you can eat early and watch all the cranes and bulldozers from the window, there is also a little garden area for them to play hide and seek in outside.

you may go to the Botanical Garden. You will be amazed how nice the government had built the park with fountain and you could show the kids with the assortment of birds. The Garden is separated in 2 parts, check with the guard there, on another part(i haven't been there), there are monkeys too.

I agree with the Star Ferry and, coming off the ferry heading toward Central the bridge goes right by that construction site. Then you could head to Admirality/Pacific Place and buy lunch at Great and take it back up a floor and sit on the benches to eat. Plenty of room for kids if you do this before noon. From here you head up the escalators toward the Island Shangri-la, cross the street and you are in HK Park. Ponds with turles, fish and a waterfall with a tunnel underneath it. From the Shangri-la you can catch a taxi up to the Zoo. Could also walk this, but it is uphill and likely to be hot.
