    Squeaky Shoes & Birthday Clothes

Now that my baby is starting to walk, I would like to buy squeaky shoes? I can't seem to find them anywhere!

Also, where can I get clothes that are marked, e.g. BIRTHDAY BOY, etc?

Are you sure you really want squeaky shoes? My parents brought some from overseas and my husband actually took out the "squeaker" from the shoes after a while. It got to all of us after a bit... :)

If you really want them, I'm sure the couple of children's shoe shops in Stanley would have them.

As for clothes marked "Birthday Boy," if you cannot find them, you can make them yourself. Just buy plain shirts and get some DIY iron-ons from Wanchai computer center and make them yourself.

My husband wants them, because they seem cute and to let us know where the baby walking, but I do agree that they may get annoying.

For Stanley, are there any shops in particular? I rarely go there, and don't want to spend too much time poking around, esp if I am with my baby.

    Thank you so much!

i second rethinking those shoes... their cuteness lasts for about 1-2 minutes, if even that....i call them "grandparent gifts" things that grandparents buy that they never have to put up with.

as for clothes.... why don't you buy a plain t-shirt from a market, go to school-solutions.com and get some fabric paint and paint your own t-shirt, then it could be personalised. you could make it into a tradtion... while he's small, you can make it, but as he gets bigger, then he can make his own.

you could even make one for yourself, "my son is one year old!" etc.
