Baby frightened of daddy

I think that on this forum, everyone is somewhat anonymous. The mother who posted here said that her husband left bruises on the baby so it seems that the case is quite severe already. And even though my heart (and many other hearts) break when we hear what is going on, I agree with Neha, this woman must make her own decisions for the health of her baby and herself. Men who hit helpless children often have been hitting their mothers as well--and that is a very real factor. Human relationships are complicated and even though those from the outside looking in can see what she should "obviously do," the best thing we all can do is be truthful, listening ears who are there to support and help. She has been given the information she needs (as well as all of our opinions) in order to make a wise decision and I really hope that she will. I for one, am totally available to help in any capacity if she might need it--because leaving a situation like this or even working within it, can not only be difficult it can be dangerous. It's more complicated than any of us can imagine.

    Update between baby and daddy

Just to update you with my baby and Daddy that he is beginning to accept him and can be held by him. Also, he doesn't cry when he sees him which is a miracle.

Anyway, thank you all on your comments and advises.

MY HEART GOES OUT TO THIS POOR BABY!!!

i am in shock an actually had to stop reading. hitting a baby is not acceptable!! NEVER!!! letting it happen is just as bad in my book.

for the baby's sake, the best way forward is counselling.

if i was you, i would ensure my baby grows into a balanced and loving child then a balanced and loving adult.
