Which playgroup for 9 month old?
Hi all,
I am thinking of enrolling my 9 month old daughter in a playgroup. Could any of you recommend any of the following playgroups Babybuddies, Gymboree, Panda Junction or Wisekids? Or any other I maynot have mentioned? Thanks a bunch :)

We did a trial class at Gymboree and at Panda Junction. We chose Panda Junction for my then 6 month year old son b/c it was mostly mothers who took their child with a few helpers as well. Gymboree seems to be mostly helpers. In addition, we really liked how Panda Junction was structured - free play in the gym for the first half hour than the 2nd half of the class is music, singing, dancing etc...They always start with a hello song, have parachute time (so does gymboree) and ends with a goodbye song. Michelle (the owner of Panda Junction) is almost always there and she is great! If you need more info, just pm. We've been with them for 2 terms and my son is now 11 months!

I am looking for a group which encourages free play, lots of singing/ music and physical activities which would encourage her movements. My primary aim is to get her to socialize with other babies and have loads of fun. If the class follows some routine it would be great. I would not be happy to see mostly helpers in a playgroup.

Try Musik'n'Motion. They have a very popular baby's program that leads into a follow on Tot program. Friends say it is the best but I think most of the classes are already full.

We love Panda Junction as it's a great mix of structured play and free play. My son learns all the songs that I would want him to know (nursery rhymes etc..) , has fun with musical instruments and meets other children during free play. The teachers are nuturing, caring and kind. The environment is extremely clean for everything gets wiped down after each class. We can't speak highly enough about Panda Junction. You should go do a trial class to see for yourself!
