what to prepare before the delivery?
hi there.
i am expecting twins in June/09 and wondering what to get before the delivery to welcome babies.
thinking to get twin stoller, baby bath, babybed etc...
but to be honest, i have no idea what to buy....

first off, what one person loves, another might find useless.
a lot will depend on breast vs bottle feeding but generally:
onesies
crib/cot/bassinet (whatever it is you want the babies to sleep in)
bedding
nappies
those are the ONLY ESSENTIALS.
however, you may also wish to get:
breastfeeding pillow
bottles
steriliser
pacifiers
baby bath (you can actually bathe babies in the regular bath or even the kitchen sink, you don't really need a bath for htem)
change table (a bed, sofa, or even the floor can work just as well)
bouncy chair/swing
baby powder
soft sponge for cleaning
thermometer (better to have one before you need it)
cotton balls
wet wipes
nursing tops (for you)
nursing bras (for you)
bra pads
maternity pads
some kind of blankets/sheets/wraps
sling
carseats
stroller (that lay flat for babies)
newborns don't really need toys... they may find something interesting by the time they get to 3 months or so.

You can maybe contact the group of mums with multiple children > http://moms-hongkong.com/
I'm sure you'll find plenty of help there ;)

wow! thank you, carang! thats very useful and amazing!!
there are so many things to get but seems like it really depends on our environment - house layout etc...
will consider about all the iteams you raised with my husband and examine at maternity shops!
anyway, thank you so much!!

You might want to print off this to use as a discussion point. Good luck with the twins :)

Hi there,
I have twins myself and I am also co-chairman of Moms Of Multiples here in Hong Kong. We organize lunches, dinners, play dates and parties (Halloween, Xmas, Easter), etc.
You can find more about MoMs here, membership is $350 a year.
http://moms-hongkong.com/
We also have a Yahoo group for pregnant members. We had 2 delivering this month, 1 due with trips any moment and 2 more in April / May (but they're on bed rest unfortunately).
Please pm me and I can highly recommend signing up!
