Boori cots
We want to change our boori cot from cot to toddler bed but seem to have lost the piece of wood that serves as a bar to keep the child from falling out. Does anyone know if it's possible to buy them separately. It also makes the bed look nice so am keen to replace it properly rather than just buying some other bar.

Are you talking about the two long bars that replace the cot walls on either side? If so, they were recalled (http://www.recalls.gov.au/view_recal...l_ID_Auto=7688) - contact Boori : josie bruce, [email protected] or call (in Australia) 1800 036 254 to arrange replacement with the new ones that were designed (they are much smaller but I am yet to install these as this happened in between my two girls needing them).
Apparently the old ones were deemed unsafe as a child's head could fall under it.
We didn't need to provide a receipt or anything to get the new rails, just name the store (we purchased them in Aust though and shipped it all to HK with us) where we purchased it from and the store to pick up the new ones from (I believe Mothercare carries them in HK, they did the last time I was in the Princes Bld store).
So you should be able to get replacement this way.
Otherwise I will be back in August and can bring back my old ones (two long planks) as I have the new ones now.
Good luck

Wow, thanks for that info. We bought ours in Oz so will have to see what they can do.
I never heard of the recall. Must have had my head in the sand.
thanks again.

me too Oz. the recall was 2004! I only found out in 2006 - two years after I purchased the cot (brand new mind you - why it wasn't swapped is beyond me).
good luck with it.

I also have a Boori cot (2004 purchased) - but the 2 in 1 version. It looks like it was just the 3 in 1 recalled. It has worried me now though, I wasnt clear how it looked assembled incorrectly. May have to ask Boori.

I think it was just the three in one from the look of the press release.
