baby friendly paint 4 art
hi all
i would like my 7 mths old baby to print her fingers and toes on a blank canvas using baby friendly ie toxic free paint. I think crayola ( crayons) maybe too advance for her as she needs to hold them ( unless i am getting this whole crayon thing wrong!)
Can you someone please recommend me a brand and where can I find them in HK?
thanks a bunch!

crayons and paint are two very different things. crayola does make a lot of very good products.
however, i bought flourescent coloured from www.school-solutions.com
i've used them for quite a few products. their finger paints are non-toxic and washable. kids love them!

Great post as I am also interested in purchasing finger paint. I looked at the website that carang posted but it doesn't say if the paint is non toxic. Is the paint a potential problem if ingested? My 7 month old loves to put EVERYTHING in her mouth

I've bought some paint from a stationery shop in Discovery Bay... They've got lots of colours. Do be careful when you choose the colours though cos they have got other ones that are not suitable for babies/kids on the same shelf (when we went, they were at the bottom, by the main door). We bought a box of 10 colours. Crayola brand. Non-toxic and washable.

Crayola does have a range for smaller children in paints and crayons.

hi all
thanks for the information. I just remembered that there used to be an art supply shop at Pottinger street. Wonder if its still there?! will check that out.
Megan2008- you are right abt baby putting EVERYTHING in her mouth. I guess thats what 7 mths old does when they are abt to start teething.

I have used the Crayola Brand paints and a few European brands - Toys Club and Wise Kids have a pretty good selection. Also the stationery store on Stanley St. also carries a German brand (sorry dont remember the name) that is pretty good as well. We started using them with our baby when she was about 12 months old.
