Passports - Australian, Canadian - any advice?

agree with Carang, reading the instructions again I think they didn't require the gurantor to be a Canadian....

karmah1 - Do you remember how long it took to get the stamp? Did you have to drop the passport off and then go back to get it? Thanks!

My husband was at the immigration department when they opened so he was the first to be served. It was a quiet day so he only had to wait an hour to go and collect it.

wow I didnt know that they didnt have to be Canadian , I could have saved some money with that one..woops, now I know for next time! I wont tell the hubby that one as he didnt think a Canadian needed to sgin it :)

For us, the sticker in the passport took a week or two, and that was supposedly "rushed". Although if you send in the application, they will tell you the date to come and get it... but I haven't heard of it being processed in just one day before (from applying, to receiving it).

Little Bird - re HK right of abode sticker - my LO is almost 3 now and I've just been travelling on his Canadian passport with a copy of his birth certificate. Touch wood - no problems with HK Immigration yet.
