    Eye ointment & Polio vaccine

Do they still provide the above at QMH for the newborn? As I was given a pamphlet during a check-up at Tsan Yuk.

Polio wasn't listed and the "Chlortetracycline eye ointment" was crossed out.

they no longer give the live virus for polio, so it is not given to the baby before it leaves the hospital. it is given at a later check-up.

i don't recall either of my kids getting any kind of eye ointment, but they were born almost 3 & 5 yrs ago, so things may have changed in that time.
