I posted this a year ago, and today while I was searching for tips on weaning my baby from bottle to cup, i chanced upon this again.
My girl is 21 months now, and I'm expecting a second one in 2 months. And this thread makes me reflect back on the past one year. What you have posted are all very true. My daughter has become so much cuter as she grows, walks, learns to speak and exert her independence, and at the same time so much harder to manage. She is constantly pulling me around (Momma, please come), and I have to drag my big belly up and down and walk with her around the house. We have recently transitioned her to the big bed, thank goodness it went smoothly. Now I am trying to wean her off the bottle, she is refusing to drink anything from her straw cup/normal cup (though she drinks water and juice from them). I haven't started on potty training yet. Her favourite words are "NO NO NO NO NO" (1 No is not good enough). She refuses to sit in her high chair to have her food, she cries like crazy when she doesn't get what she wants (which usually goes on for quite a while cos we will just ignore her), I forget what it's like when she was 6 months old!
In fact I have forgotten what it's like to have a newborn and how a newborn behaves. Vague memory that it must have been easier cos they mostly eat and sleep. Right?
Anyway, thought I'll just drop a line a year past and rejoice with all of you that we survived another year ... stronger and better :)

actually you HAVE forgotten something....
newborns do 4 things:
1)eat
2)sleep
3)cry
4)poop
that's about it...congratulations!
