Can I drink milk (powder) if I have diarrhea?
I am 5-6 weeks pregnant. Is it a must to drink the milk or milk powder to increase the vitamins intake? But I have diarrhea the day before and yesterday...I know I should stop any diary products when my stomach goes like that, but I also need the goods for my baby. Should I still drink the milk?

If you stop dairy products during a few days, enough to get better, it won't hurt you or the baby. You can find calcium sources from other products and you'll have plenty of vitamines in the Materna vitamines (or other brands).

Broccoli and pumpkin seeds are high in calcium or even try soy milk fortified with calcium. A good multi vitamin should help boost your vitamin intake...I honestly lwouldn't worry about milk powder I dont' think thats necessary as long as your eating a healthy balanced diet.

I wouldn't worry about not drinking milk either. For my first pregnancy, I hardly drank any milk (don't like the stuff unless it is flavored...i.e. chocolate milk or milk in coffee or milk with cereal, etc.) If you're worried about calcium intake, can take a calcium supplement...or eat yogurt, cheese or other dairy products!

Personally, I don't drink milk, cause I find it hard to digest. I take calcium supplement and yogurt instead. If you have diarrhea, them probably you can try taking yogurt. Building a good intestinal flora may be good for the this problem.
