    visiting a fire station

Does anyone know how a 3 yr old boy can visit a fire station near Mid Levels? How can we find out about open day? Is it possible to just show up at a fire station and be taken around for a visit? My boy is so crazy about fire trucks, fireman, fire stations that it would be a dream come true to visit one soon!

    Thanks.

I don't know about an official visit, but the fire station on Po Shan Road in Mid Levels has its doors open around 9:00-9:30 am or so everyday. That's when they test the fire engines, flashing lights, etc. My son would often stop by to have a look when on his way to the park when he was younger.

The Fire Station on our street has open days. They put up a banner a few weeks before to let residents in the area know.

There is one on Victoria Road in Pok Fu Lam which is really kind about allowing the little ones to come in and have a look so just knock on the door and ask..

There is formal website where you can apply to visit any of the stations (including the Fireboats)

    http://www.hkfsd.gov.hk/home/eng/visit.html

I should note the HK Fire Service website is FILLED with photos of firetrucks--even ones you didn't know existed (like rural brush trucks way out in the boonies). Lots of other neat stuff for kids there too:

Oh thanks, the link is so useful!!! Btw is there any particular fire station are more worth visiting? I want to apply Aberdeen one as we pass by often and it looks new.

Also, the website mentioned an age requirement (6 or above), any idea if they will absolutely reject 4 year olds?

My son (4yo) is a big fan of fire fighter.
