Where to find bridesmaid dress?
I have a wedding on Sunday week that I'm going to be a bridesmaid for. The bride just said for us to all get our own dresses, whatever colour/style we like, but I have no idea where over here I can get a bridesmaid dress! I don't have a whole lot of time at the moment so I want a store that I can just walk in, try it on and buy it straight off the rack. I don't want to spend an enormous amount on it... where should I go?? Pref on HK side...

Hey nicolejoy,
Have you tried the Pedder building (on pedder street, near, maybe next to, Shanghai Tang)? They have heaps of samples/seconds & 'last seasons' dresses. It may take a bit of hunting, but I found my wedding dress there - just wanted a nice frock - for around 600, i think. I've also found got some fab. dresses for 3-500. There are lots of shops and lots of dresses suited to many and varied tastes - but i've always found it worthwhile.
good luck!Last edited by lalligirl; 09-30-2010 at 10:10 AM. Reason: repeating myself!

Nic, the shop is one floor below B2B. It's got quite a good selection last time i went.

I went to Pedder Building yesterday and got one - thanks so much for your suggestions, I never would have thought of there!! I'm definitely going back next time I need a dress for a wedding or something :)

Hi Nicole
Do you mind me asking how much you paid and whether they had a good range of sizes? I find it hard to find that sort of clothing (cocktail/formal wear) in HK which doesn't come from a designer store!
Thanks

I paid $750, and they're altering it for me for $60 - it was a bit big for me.
They do have a good range of sizes, although a lot of them seemed to be more on the big size - the two that I was choosing between were both too large for me and I'm small to average for a Westerner.
There are a bunch of those kinds of stores all over Pedder Building but the 4th floor ones were the best, in my opinion...
