2, 3,4, night waking-help
Hello,
My son is 16 months old, before the xmas holiday (that seems like so long ago) my son would sleep from 7:30- 6am (with a feed at 10pm) ,almost never waking up....but since we came back from holidays he is waking up sometimes up to 4 times a night. It could be teething...4 came in at the same time...we gave him Tylenol...made sure he had enough to eat..was not too cold or hot...luckily he will go back to sleep after I go and settle him..only takes 5 minutes....which I am grateful for....but it is the waking up all the time...last night he woke up at 9, 10:30, 12:30 and then at 5:30. I work full time and this 3 weeks of constant waking is killing me...how did I manage when he was a newborn..
any advice,
thanks,
stamcel

Jet lag? We experienced the same, but got over in a week.

Growth spurt? There's one around 16 months. Or an attachment thing, he wakes up - gets a bit panicky when he sees you're not there, you go in and he's fine.
We've just (hopefully) got through two months of something similar with The Boy and he's about the same age, it's much, much worse than when they're newborn! I guess because you aren't expecting it and people don't make the same allowances.
Good luck.

I'm pretty sure ours was an attachment thing all mixed up with some molars coming through, I think he was waking and then just needed to check someone would come in and see him if he yelled! It's not so bad for me as I'm not working but it's still pretty exhausting just because I wasn't used to it. Fingers crossed he's over it now!
