Lantau Palm Beach with toddler
Hello. Has anyone gone camping at the Lantau Palm Beach with their toddler? We are planning on going this weekend with our 19 month old and would like to get some feedback on how baby friendly it is. Thanks!

I would advise not to go. We were just there and the site operator did not pitch the tents well and all the tents got flooded. The family next door had to evacuate and no one at the site operator came out to help. We confronted them the next day and did not receive any decent customer service.
They also over charge for everything in there.
Also, one of the bathrooms were so poorly maintained. There were "poo" flies everywhere.
I would not recommend it at all... With or without kids.

Hmm...Yum_mommy: single post and that one happens to be a hatchet job. Not exactly credible.
Palm Beach is a great place to go with kids. You are sleeping in some beautiful hand made tents with the beach at your doorstep. The drinks and (very limited) food on offer is very reasonably priced but you are also free to bring your own without any restrictions. Last time we were there with our 3 kids, we brought our own meats to cook on their BBQs and our own salads and only bought drinks at Palm Beach.
The toilets could be a bit better but as with any busy remote location, it can get dirty very quickly. If the weather happens to be hot, naturally the flies will also come along quickly. It is no worse than any other Lantau toilet (eg : The Stoep or Treasure Island. If you are a toilet-clean-freak, you will have problems anywhere in southern Lantau.
There are a lot of equipment available for hire including various boards, kayaks, canoes etc etc. It makes for a fun weekend for the entire family.
The place is suitable and very entertaining for families comfortable with camping, outdoors and bit of roughing it.
It is entirely unsuitable for those families which prefer 4-5* resorts and have grand expectations.

I have never been to any beach in HK but planning something for next weekend.
HC, any recommendations where we can bring a 13-month old?
Also, if the Lantau Palm Beach isn't 4-5 star, which one is? Not that I am limited to the high-end ones but would want options :-)
Thanks in advance.

Our favorite beach has been and still is PuiO with kids.
Can get a taxi straight there or bus within 5mins walk or a 1.5h hike from MuiWo,
Very shallow water that stays shallow a long way,
Usually clean beach,
Showers, changing rooms and toilets that are relatively clean,
Camp site,
Lots of Sand,
Tuck shop with good icecream, noodles, siumai and other local goodies.
I'm not aware of any high end beach areas in Hong Kong but 2 places try to come close:
Gold Coast Hotel and Warwick Hotel....
