just wanting to moan a little....;)
ok... 10 days ago, my son got a very high fever, stayed home from school last tuesday-friday, before starting his easter holidays. he seemed to be getting better and just when i thought i was out of the woods....
daughter got the fever. took her to dr on friday because she was crying due to her "tummy hurts" and a very high fever... got the usual meds. then on sunday, some spots started to appear. spent 3 hours waiting for the private dr in sai kung to see her again 2 days ago(monday). i thought it might be chicken pox, luckily (?) it's not. it's *just* hand, foot and mouth.
ok, so she's now got some pain meds as the spots in her throat are very painful. she's still complaining of "tummy hurts" but not as badly as a few days ago.
just when i thought i was out of the woods....
son fell down yesterday afternoon. after waking from his nap and trying to walk, he started screaming in agony... so, i decided wednesday is a holiday, better take him to hospital a & e, just in case... so yesterday afternoon, got to TKO a & e... he had an xray only to find that he broke two bones in his foot! he and i spent the next 24 hours in TKO hospital, finally got to come home this afternoon. i have to take him back tomorrow to check on his plaster cast that he needs for the next 6-8 weeks.
just when i thought i was out of the woods....
hubby has a really high fever...
CAN WE END THIS HOLIDAY NOW, PLEASE???? work is so much easier than this...

As the saying goes "when it rains, it pours!" Hopefully everybody feels better soon and you don't come down with it too. Take care.

Don't you wonder why at times like this YOU're not the one who's sick and someone else is taking care of you? :) Sure hope everyone gets better really soon...

Good luck to you to deal with this situation.
We have now stopped making any plans for any holidays because our LO is an expert in ruining the holiday plans by falling sick on the first day of the brak.
Can understand how you feel.

I am SO sorry to hear about all this, cara! Ugh! Prayers for a quick recovery for everyone!

spiritual uplifting, the power of which they have never previously been aware …
To such a woman childbirth is a monument of joy within her memory.
She turns to it in thought to seek again an ecstasy which passed too soon.”

Sorry to hear LO is sick cara, hope he gets better soon.
Sigh. When I read this thread yesterday, I had no idea I'd be spending the entire night in hospital with LO having vomited 10 times, and we were all due to fly out of HK on a family trip at 9 this morning.
No more planning holidays on my end either.
