Ocean Park / Disneyland any good for 2 year olds?
Trying to think of a nice day out. Are there rides / play areas in Ocean Park or Disneyland that are suitable for 2 year olds?

I prefer disneyland for my two year old. She can go on most of the rides and it is mainly flat so if you have a stroller it is easier to get around. She also loved the parade and seeing all of the characters so it was a very enjoyable day out.

I haven't been to Disneyland. I am making it my goal to stay as far away from that place as long as I can but, that's just my personal thing. However, we really love Ocean Park. One of my issues with Disney is how commercialized it is. But, I think Ocean Park is far more educational--you can see lovely animals, go to the aquarium and there is a small area of rides for small children. But, I'm sure Disney will have more rides for small children. I think either is a good choice if you're just thinking of things to do for small children--my son had a good time at 2-years-old when we first took him to Ocean Park--they also have a stage show for little kids. I also like that Ocean Park is a home-grown, local theme park, not a corporate brand.

when my eldest was a baby, we bought a year pass for OP. he loved it from the time he was 10months (he was an early walker, but we still took a stroller).
both of my kids still love OP but they also like disney. disney is more expensive but OP is catching up fast.

I would say both are fantastic for 2 year olds. Disney I think has more options for 2 year olds and is stroller friendly (lots of shows etc are in aircon too which is a plus in the summer). Ocean park is catching up. My kids can quite happily spend a few hours in the aquarium and panda areas without needing any other rides or attractions.

Our one year old loves Ocean Park, especially the Aquarium. Have not been to Disney yet.. Ocean Park is incredibly commercialized too though - $20 for a $7 bottle of tea, every attraction ends in a retail shop etc etc. Still, lots of fun and I am sure will be returning with my daughter soon.
