car seats
We're moving to Hong Kong soon with a baby and preschooler. What kind of car seats would you recommend we bring? Are there cars for hire that provide car seats? Is there a portable or lightweight brand of car seat you would recommend for riding in taxis? What do parents in Hong Kong do? Thank you for your advice.

Vast majority of parents do not own cars and do not use anything while riding taxis and other public transport.
Car seats are not mandated by law in Hong Kong. Recommendations can be found here:

Some parents do use their own carrier car seats for infants in taxis. There are several models that you can secure into any backseat with just the seat belt (no isofix or base needed). I use the Chicco Keyfit 30. I would definitely look into buying one in your home country before moving here as the mark up for baby items in Hong Kong is very high.
