I heard that there is a private zoo in Yuen Long - does anyone know details?

Huh? That would be the best-kept secret ever. There is a Wetland Park in Tin Shui Wai.
“Many women have described their experiences of childbirth as being associated with a
spiritual uplifting, the power of which they have never previously been aware …
To such a woman childbirth is a monument of joy within her memory.
She turns to it in thought to seek again an ecstasy which passed too soon.”

Guess this is in the news (SCMP) about a man who may end up in court after running a "private zoo" in Yuen Long for 18 years. Seems a bit suspect to me. I haven't visited there and wouldn't.

I think you are probably thinking of Lychee Valley. My child really liked it as his kindie went there on a field trip. There was strawberry picking, a huge climbing net, animals and fish to feed and pony rides, but I'm not sure it is operational anymore since part of it (including the toilets for the park) were found to be on Government land and knocked down in recent enforcement action.
