Congrats ladies. I'm heading for my 9th week scan this weekend. Really hoping that all'd be well. So far, feeling super exhausted - in the mornings, I can barely drag myself to work. Just want to be horizontal all the time! How are you beating the fatigue?
Cranlemon, may I check on the maternity clinic in Wan Chai you are going to? Is it the one at Southern? We live in Wan Chai but are registered with Tsan Yuk as it's supposed to be the feeder clinic for QMH. But if we can do the checks at Wan Chai, that's better, distance-wise.
Meanwhile, am supplementing with private visits. Went to a Dr Grace Ying Wong at Harbour City, who seems experienced if a little lacking in bedside manners.

Hi Kartaly,
I go to the Tai Chi Ngong Clinic in Wanchai on Queens Road East. It's quite efficient and the nurses are nice there, everyone speaks English. Link here
Family Health Service - Maternal and Child Health Centres
They don't do ultrasound but I did my preliminary blood and urine tests there and I have to go back in my 14th week for another checkup.
I'm still deciding between public and private. Our insurance will cover up to 60,000 of delivery costs. I checked with my private obstetrician who will charge 23,000 and I checked with HK Sanitarum which will charge 16,000 for a maternity package in a general ward. I thought this puts me well under my 60k cap but my obstetrician told me that it will be more like 80,000 because of "hidden costs" that add up from the hospital. Does anyone have any experience with this particularly at Sanitarium?

Hi yunamika,
I'm also due on the 10th April!
I'm definitely less nauseous and a little less tired but not feeling too bad. I am looking forward to getting an appetite back though!
How are you doing?
Cat x

Congratulations!
I'm hoping we can hold out and not find out but it's so difficult!
I'm jealous that you can prepare and start buying blue! X

Me too. From week 6 onwards, i was feeling nauseous all the time and could not eat at all. But now things are better. I eat normally but sometimes I do not feel well in the evening. Hope your appetite comes back soon! :)
