    Ideas for beach wear

Early this year, before we realized I was expecting, we made plans to take a getaway to Boracay in end-April for a friends wedding.

So glad it's falling into the 2nd trimester as I'm now W12.

I was wondering though what apparel solutions experienced mummy's have come up with that might work for a beach baby moon. I'm not sure I can fit into my bikini anymore and I might look like a beach whale even if I did.

Thing is, none of our travels up to delivery are going to be at the beach so I'm not keen to spend money on a maternity bathing suit I'm going to use once.

    Anyone have ideas? :)

Congratulations! Boracay will be lovely. Have you checked online? Asos does a reasonable line

I managed to stay in my bikini throughout my pregnancy (in fact, It saw me through two!), however it was never quite the same again!!

I bought a sunguard/rashguard sleeved top online, not a maternity one. I figured with the sun protection element, I could use it for both the beach and for outdoors on sunny days. I did wear a bikini top under the sunguard, but that was to make sure my nipples were not poking anyone in the eye.

I got a bikini bottom from H & M for my preggie bum. It was fairly cheap, so I don't feel bad if I ditch it when I go back to my non-pregnant sizes.
