Hi Keryn,

It maybe too early to tell...

When I was preggie for the second time I had 2 tests ( one a home kit) & the other was at a hospital both were negative...but I was sure I was pregnant...The doc finally did a THIRD test 3 weeks after my period was due & that was positive...so you never know

Hang in there and test again after a week or so....

Same for me. I was a month late, tests were all neg but as I had stopped my birth control pill I thought it might be because of hormons or... Finally did a blood test and was 2 weeks preg. Wait a while and go do a blood test they are 100% correct as the clearblue & co 99% (never know with one little percent...)

from what i understand about the urine tests... you need a certain amount of the hormone in your urine before it will detect it....

this means, if it's positive, it's positive.... you're pregnant...

however

if it's negative, you may just not have enough of the hormone in your urine to detect yet... so you can very well get a negative even though you ARE pregnant...or you may not be pregnant...

the hormone appears faster in some people than in others, when i took a home test... i was only 1 day late! it was positive SO fast, i didn't have to wait the full minute that it says...

good luck! i hope you get the answer (pregnant or not) that you are hoping for!

Keryn,

With baby no.1, the home pregnancy test showed positive after I was one day late.

With baby no. 2, even with all the signs and symptoms there, the tests didn't turn positive until I was 10 days late.

All the best, Keryn. I'm sure it will show in a few days...

Hi Keryn,

We maybe on the same boat. I got a negative result on my home test as well. I don't feel pregnant but at the same time I don't feel my period coming either. I thought my period is just a little late until I read this thread.

Good luck to you and me.

Sandy

i've heard of women getting pregnant after just delivering a baby, BEFORE they even get a period... because you ovulate...THEN get your period, it is possible...
in my ante-natal classes, they warned us of this and said, "don't think that just because you are BF that you won't get pregnant!"

anyway, good luck!
